Is het een voorbijgaande bevlieging, een moment van aandacht, een korte ontmoeting of iets anders? Zal het blijven bestaan, zal het voor altijd duren? Maakt het echt uit? Dit is nu, dit is hoe jij je voelt.

Bij Etat Libre d’Orange zijn we altijd gefascineerd geweest door de relatie tussen mode en parfum. Associaties en relaties tussen de twee zijn gebruikelijk en veel modehuizen hebben parfums ontwikkeld die op de een of andere manier verband houden met hun merk. En een paar jaar geleden kreeg onze creatief directeur, Etienne de Swardt, de kans om dit soort verbinding te creëren voor Etat Libre d’Orange.

Er was een avond dat een bepaalde ontwerper op bezoek kwam en de mogelijkheid van een parfum besprak dat zijn collectie zou weerspiegelen. Etienne reageerde absoluut, aangezien we veel uitstekende samenwerkingservaringen hebben gehad. We werkten samen met de Tom of Finland Foundation om het gelijknamige parfum te creëren. We werkten samen met Rossy de Palma aan Eau de Protection, met Mx Vivian Justin Bond aan The Afternoon of a Faun, en we werkten samen met parfumcriticus Chandler Burr om You or Someone Like You te ontwikkelen. En we werkten samen met de familie van de markies de Sade om Attaquer Le Soleil te creëren.

Die avond spraken Etienne en de ontwerper over mode en parfum en de mogelijkheid om een ​​parfum voor zijn merk te creëren. En omdat ze champagne dronken, kwamen er ongelooflijk briljante ideeën uit de discussie. We waren allemaal erg enthousiast.

In de dagen die volgden, toen we nuchter en realistisch waren, realiseerden we ons allemaal dat de tijd er nog niet rijp voor was. Maar we vergaten die opmerkelijke avond en de ideeën die eruit voortkwamen nooit. En het was onvermijdelijk dat het idee van mode en parfum bij ons zou blijven. Als modeontwerper geloven we in een gedurfde esthetiek, provocatie, sensualiteit. We willen dat onze creaties klanten in staat stellen zichzelf te definiëren of iemand anders te worden. OPzettelijk PROVOCATIEF.

Une Amourette is een geur zonder beperkingen. Het is niet voor iedereen. Het is verdeeldheid zaaiend. Het zal de parfumcategorie corrumperen met zijn subversieve positionering. Het is een geur die zijn sporen maakt en achterlaat. Het wordt eerst gedragen op het pulspunt tussen de dijen. Terwijl ze beweegt, loopt, haar benen kruist... laten de warmte en wrijving een bedwelmende uitbarsting van geur vrij die de aandacht trekt van het meest primitieve zintuig: geur. Une Amourette overstijgt gender. Het is noch vrouwelijk noch mannelijk, maar het sluit aan bij het aangeboren verlangen om de controle te nemen, om uniek te zijn... En wanneer twee lichamen samenkomen, wordt de alchemie van huid op huid en geur op huid ontketend en wordt de volledige kracht van de geur onthuld.

Toen ik de ontwerper eenmaal had ontmoet, begon ik me een zeer verfijnd en donker parfum voor te stellen, zwart en rood. Patchouli en Indole vormen de ruggengraat in deze houtachtige/dierlijke bloemengeur. De hoofdnoten worden helder geopend met Neroli, terwijl Resinoide Iris, Akigalawood en Resinoide Incense de basis vormen van dit verhaal.

DESCRIPTION
Is it a passing fancy, a momentary catching-of-the-eye, a brief encounter, or something else? Will it endure, will it last forever? Does it really matter? This is now, this is how you feel.

At Etat Libre d’Orange, we’ve always been intrigued by the relationship between fashion and fragrance. Associations and relationships between the two are common, and many fashion houses have developed perfumes that relate in some way to their brand. And some years ago, our creative director, Etienne de Swardt, had the opportunity to create this kind of connection for Etat Libre d’Orange.

There was an evening when a certain designer came to visit and discuss the possibility of a perfume that would reflect his collection. Etienne was definitely responsive, since we’ve had many excellent collaborative experiences. We worked with the Tom of Finland Foundation to create the eponymous perfume. We worked with Rossy de Palma on Eau de Protection, with Mx Vivian Justin Bond on The Afternoon of a Faun, and we teamed up with perfume critic Chandler Burr to develop You or Someone Like You. And we collaborated with the family of the Marquis de Sade to create Attaquer Le Soleil.

On that evening, Etienne and the designer talked fashion and fragrance and the possibility of creating a perfume for his brand. And since they were drinking champagne, incredibly brilliant ideas emerged from the discussion. We were all very excited.

In the days to come, when we were sober and realistic, we all realized that the time wasn’t right. But we never forgot that remarkable evening and the ideas that came out of it. And it was inevitable that the notion of fashion and perfume would stay with us. Like a fashion designer, we believe in a bold aesthetic, provocation, sensuality. We want our creations to enable clients to define themselves or become someone else. A designer drapes bodies — we drape skin. We use the same words: fusion, structure, magic, eroticism.

DELIBERATELY PROVOCATIVE.

Une Amourette is a no-holds-barred fragrance. It is not for everybody. It’s divisive. It will corrupt the fragrance category with its subversive positioning. It’s a scent that makes and leaves its mark. It is worn first at the pulse point between the thighs. As she moves, walks, crosses her legs…the warmth and friction release an intoxicating burst of fragrance catching the attention of the most primitive sense: smell. Une Amourette transcends gender. It is neither feminine nor masculine but it connects with the innate desire to take control, to be unique… And when two bodies come together, the alchemy of skin on skin and scent on skin is unleashed, and the full power of the fragrance is revealed.

Once I had met the designer, I began to imagine a very sophisticated and dark perfume, black and red. Patchouli and Indole are the backbones in this woody/animal floral. The head notes are brightly opened with Neroli, while Resinoide Iris, Akigalawood and Resinoide Incense form the foundation of this story.
